Mens Squash
The men’s section currently runs 6 teams entered in the North West Counties Squash League (NWCSL). The season for team matches against other clubs runs from September through to April. Our First Team plays in Division 1 on Tuesday Night each week during the season, while the other teams play on Thursday nights. There are 13 weeks of matches before and 13 weeks after the Christmas break played on a home and away basis. Matches usually start around 7.15pm and conclude around 10.00pm followed by food and refreshment. Team and individual records for current and past seasons are accessible via www.nwcsl.org. Then of course there is the purely social level where the result is of less importance than whose turn it is to buy the first round to try to put back what you have lost on court. Booking courts is easy involving only the insertion of the members name in a box on the court booking sheet. There is no cost for this and no cost for the lights, although we do ask that members respect each other by crossing off their name well in advance when they can no longer make the court or find an opponent.
