The squash section at Alderley Edge Cricket Club has well over 200 members. There are 4 beautifully presented courts, 2 of which have state of the art front walls, 1 of which has a glass-back, perfect for exhibition matches. Not only do some of the country’s best players show us how the game is played on special occasions but a couple of world-ranked players play for our men’s 1st team, including our professional coach, Alex Stait.
Coaching takes place on Friday evenings for juniors in group sessions. The popularity of these sessions continues to grow since they are well-organised and highly enjoyable. The children must all wear safety goggles to play, as well as non-marking squash shoes/trainers.
There is an active sports and social scene at the club with a lively group of people making the most of all aspects of life. The catering side has gained a well deserved reputation for high quality food.
