AECC Members Grass Court Conversion Proposals April 2008/AGM

Welcome to the Alderley Edge Cricket Club Tennis Section. Our club is one of the most beautifully situated in Britain. Located at the foot of the Edge, in the Cheshire village of Alderley Edge. Club members enjoy views out over the cricket pitch to the Edge beyond.

We have fourteen courts in total, nine of which are astroturf and five original grass.

Total membership is close to 900 with nearly 350 juniors. Full time coaching is available to all members.

Members club evenings are organized every Wednesday throughout the year. In the Autumn/Winter they begin at 6.00pm, and the same during the spring/summer period. Members club afternoon is on Saturday and is organized all year round from 2pm. Several Tournaments are organised for the members.

In November of 2004 we had floodlights installed on three of the astroturf courts. Now Tennis and in particular, Wednesday evening club nights can go on through out the year! Bookings for the floodlights can be made in the club house and block bookings are available for the whole winter.
