For most new members, it's a daunting step to join a new club, let alone actually turning up and playing.

We're here to make that easy. AECC has to be the most social sports club around.  So, our job is easy:

  • we have 2 club coaches (see below and on coaching page), who provide a wide and varied coaching programme for all ages and standards
  • all new senior members can come to the free "Rusty Corner" coaching sessions
  • from there we have club afternoons and evenings where club members turn up and play together.... and then we have the excellent team tennis
  • there's a great junior section: lots of coaching and team matches available - again, for all standards of players

All you have to do is come with your racket!

If you're worried because you've not played for a while.. then we offer free coaching during the summer months, ease yourself in slowly with our "Rusty Corner" sessions:

  • "Rusty Corner" - Saturdays 2.00 - 3.00 pm

What happens if I am a new member?

For Adults

Please come along to a Wednesday Club Evening or a Saturday Club Afternoon which run throughout the year. These are run by nominated volunteers to organise play in to mixed doubles. For more information about these social sessions contact Nicola Lloyd, Melissa Drath 07973 241197 or Debbie Jones 01625 829816 / 07815 795787.

For Juniors

Please come along to Friday Club Evenings (please see Junior Section for timings) and introduce yourself to the organiser who will welcome you, introduce you to other members and arrange some games.

Please don't feel inhibited - you will be made welcome whatever your standard of play and games will be arranged for you as near as possible to your ability level. You will have access to all Club events. See the Club handbook for details of "What's on for Adults?" and "What's on for juniors?"

British Tennis Membership

We encourage all our tennis members to become BTM which is a simple process through this link

Coaching

If you require coaching, please contact the Coaching staff who will be pleased to offer you tuition either individually or in a group to help you integrate and improve your tennis.
