We will be using our new coaching app to send out information about renewals for September. So you need to sign up by Sunday 25th July in order to receive your renewal offer next week.

The club has again been very successful, winning a total of four Cheshire Tennis Awards.
We welcomed Barbara Bloor and Xanthe Holt from the Cheshire County LTA .
David Killworth received the Unsung Hero for all his work associated with developing and maintaining our wonderful courts
David Paterson won the Competition Award for running county competitions. David runs all the external tournaments at the club for us.
Stuart Murray was the Development Coach Finalist, being praised for all his work in a difficult 2020. He was particularly cited for his videos created during the first lockdown, when we got to know the rest of his family including his dog!
And finally Alderley Edge Tennis was a Finalist in the Club of the Year group.
We were also please to welcome Sue Morrison from LUSU who teaches disability tennis.
Well done to everyone who make this club so successful. It is truly a team effort.

Jamie Blake, one of our young tennis juniors entered the Widnes U8 Mini Red event recently and did really well, only losing in the final. Jamie currently attends Cheshire County Training.

We are delighted to hold the annual tennis tournament again at the club. Please be aware that many of the courts will be allocated to the tournament during this period (weekday evenings and weekend afternoons). Club afternoons and evenings will not take place during this time.
If you are playing - good luck!
And if you are not - come down and watch - especially on club finals day on Saturday 19th June. (And please continue to be considerate of social distancing)
There is a buffet after the finals - so do buy your tickets (£15) from the clubhouse

We are delighted to be receiving a number of LTA County Tennis Awards this year. The awards are being presented to us at the club on Thursday 17th June at 7.30pm, during our annual tournament week. You are most welcome to come down and celebrate with us. The awards are being presented by Barbara Bloor from the Cheshire County LTA and there will be other LTA County members attending too.
The awards are as follows:

Stuart Murray - Development Coach Finalist
Alderley Edge - Club Finalist
David Killworth - Unsung Hero

After a year of isolation, we are delighted to announce some tennis social events for your diaries:
- Saturday 19th June - Buffet following the finals of the annual club tournament. Food will be served at ~7.45 - 8pm. Tickets (£15) can be obtained at the bar from 5th June onwards
- Saturday 25th September - Chairmans Day. Afternoon handicap tournament with tea followed by an evening social event
- Friday 22nd October - Blacks Night
- Sunday 12th December - Tennis Christmas Lunch
