Please Please use the Paths to the Tennis Courts

Main Image
The project to convert courts 13 and 14 to artificial clay is close to completion. We will soon have a total of ten new wonderful courts! In order to keep the surface in tip top playing condition with good drainage, and to avoid very expensive court rejuvenations in the future, we need to continue to keep muck, grass and other debris off of all the courts. Thus, if you are headed to either courts 1-8 or courts 9-14 please ensure you use the paths and do not be tempted to cut across the cricket pitch. The same applies if you are using the gate on Mottram Road to get to courts 13 and 14! We all need to follow these rules please – members, guests, camps, and parents collecting and watching their children. Thank you for helping us to look after our great tennis playing facilities.      See full story...

Buy a Bench for New Artificial Clay Courts 13 and 14

Main Image
It will not be long until the Court 13 and 14 project is completed and we will have another two wonderful artificial clay courts available for play. We would like to source four new attractive benches for these courts, of the same durable quality as those donated by members for courts 1-8. We thought that some other members might be interested in buying a bench, complete with a brass plaque inscribed with words of your choice. The cost is £650 per bench including the plaque. Please let Ruth Samuels or David Killworth know if this might be something you would like to do!      See full story...
