We are delighted to announce that we are planning to run the annual club tournament again this summer, having had to cancel it last year.
Geoffrey Bean and Nikki Royle have very kindly agreed to run the tournament again and we thank them for all the work we know they will be putting into a making the tournament week such a highlight of our tennis calendar.
We will be sharing more information in the coming weeks, but for the time being - please save the dates:
Saturday 12th - Saturday 19th June 2021
For those of you who are new to the club, the tournament is run during the day on weekend days and from 6pm onwards on the weekdays. It is open to adults of all standards and there are handicap events which enable all members to have a chance to progress to the final stages of the tournament.
There will be some changes to how we operate the week due to the current pandemic, but we hope that even so, the week will be as successful as everSee full story...
The Cheshire County LTA Tennis Awards are usually awarded at a Presentation Evening every November. Like every event, Cheshire LTA has had to adapt this year they ran a virtual ceremony on 26th March. We are delighted that David Killworth was given an Unsung Hero award and Stuart was a finalist in the Coach of the Year category, having won the County and the Northern Region award a few years ago. The club was also Highly Commended in the Club of the Year category which we also won a few years ago.
