Junior Tennis - Mini Greens win county finals

Main Image

The mini green team had great success last weekend when they won their county finals - having come top of the league a few weeks earlier.  It wasn't easy! The team were playing against Hartford and were 4-2 down after the first three matches but then ran out as victors 8-4.  The team comprised Eddie Coppock, Christian Smith, William Thompstone and Noah Todd.  Congratulations to all the players.  The successful players will all be saying 'goodbye' to mini tennis this autumn and moving to 'yellow ball'.  We wish them good luck in their junior tennis careers.

The mini reds and mini orange teams reached their county semi finals - but unfortunately came second so didn't quite make it through to the finals. Well done for reaching the semis!

Alderley Mini Red A team played Cuddington and Sandiway at Home. Some lovely tennis played in the heat by all players with Alderley narrowly losing out to Cuddington & Sandiway, 18-14. A big well done to Harry Hardcastle, Oliver Halfpenney, Jayden Caudwell and Henry Heslip for getting this far and showing great dedication and commitment this season for the Mini Red As.

Alderley’s Mini Orange team travelled to Hoole. Down 2 of their usual players, (Kit Campbell and Freddie Murdock), Harry Hardcastle and James Potter stood up to the challenge and joined forces with Ted Black and Seb Stuart. Alderley won both doubles matches but unfortunately missed out in the singles with Hoole winning overall.

A great experience for all players, showing impressive determination, skill and fantastic teamwork.
