AESC New Head of Squash Matt McFahn

New Head of Squash

Matt McFahn arrives from Wolverhampton Lawn Tennis and Squash Club where he has worked for the past 2 years, in the position of Head of Squash and Racketball.  He will lead on developing and growing the junior section and creating a programme of activity at the club to benefit existing and new members.


Qualified as a level 4 coach and bringing extensive previous experience in club development, Matt has previously worked for England Squash in the position of National Development Manager and is also a highly experienced coach educator. 

Matt is also a Director of the squash development organisation 'Off The Wall Squash' who created the Junior Progress Awards and have an established squash performance academy in Essex.

Mick Regan who heads up the junior section at the club says, "I've known Matthew for almost 20 years from when he first took me through my Level 2 coaching qualification in 2000. Matthew brings a level of professionalism which is increasingly necessary at Voluntary run organisations; Together with his passion and enthusiasm for the sport I have no doubt the squash section is going to benefit greatly from this appointment."

Ollie Harris, who has done a great job filling the gap left by the the sudden departure of squash coach Matt Sidaway, will be supporting Matthew to deliver a new squash development plan and is also still available to continue his individual lessons with members.
