Stuart Murray, our Head Tennis Coach, has set all the tennis players a lockdown challenge to collectively take part in the 'Exercise to the GRAND SLAMS' Challenge.
The aim is that during this lockdown, everyone should record even the smallest, walk, run or bike ride, to our 'Club page' on the Strava App, so we can see how far the members of the club can travel together as a team. This is a team effort to show what we can achieve as a community.
Stuart's aim was to reach Wimbledon (207.4m) - which we already have done; I think we have also probably reached Paris so the next one on the list is the US Open (3338m)! With all our members taking part this could be achieved!
So members of all sections of the club are invited to join Stuart's exercise challenge and together we can 'travel' the world
To join, click on this link, download Strava onto your mobile phone and then 'record' each exercise activity.
Stuart and the Tennis Section will be reporting regularly on progress:
