We are delighted to hold the annual tennis tournament again at the club. Please be aware that many of the courts will be allocated to the tournament during this period (weekday evenings and weekend afternoons). Club afternoons and evenings will not take place during this time.
If you are playing - good luck!
And if you are not - come down and watch - especially on club finals day on Saturday 19th June. (And please continue to be considerate of social distancing)
There is a buffet after the finals - so do buy your tickets (£15) from the clubhouse
We looking forward to a great week

Two weeks ago we asked that children did not play football on any of the tennis courts. Or climb up or jump on cricket covers or nets.
Last Friday three children were very rude to a lady member of the club when she asked them politely to move off the tennis courts. As well as playing football, they were hanging off the tennis nets. Another male member came to assist and the children were also rude to him. After multiple requests the children did leave the courts.
As we said a few weeks ago, we have invested £500k+ in the new artificial clay tennis courts and we also spent £9k cleaning three of the astro tennis courts last year.
We asked our members to take collective responsibility for looking after our facilities - and on this occasion two adult members did so. Thank you.
HOWEVER the response of the children was not appropriate. So we ask parents again - especially on Friday evenings to ensure that their children play safely and in appropriate areas of the club grounds.
We want our children to enjoy our facilities and to have a good time, but we also need to ensure their safety as well as preserving our fantastic facilities.

Now in operation for a year, the tennis court booking system seems to be working really well. Members get great visibility of court availability, and guaranteed play (weather permitting) for their booked slot. Most of us can now use it with ease.
It is also proving invaluable in scheduling matches, tournaments, and tennis camps.
With the attraction of our great new artificial clay courts, LED floodlights, extensive social and match play, and an exceptional coaching team, we have also seen a strong influx of new members. This means that at peak times courts can become quite full.
We therefore request that if you find you are unable to use your booked slot, you cancel that booking as soon as you know you are unable to play, to give other members the greatest opportunity to play at their chosen time.See full story...
