AECC Tennis Super Sunday for Men's Teams Whilst the super successful cake sale was taking place, at the Alderley Edge Summer Fete 3 men's teams were in action The Men's teams had a Sensational 'Super Sunday' last weekend The 3rds, 4ths and 5ths were in action the same day, and all won their matches to further extend their combined unbeaten run of 22 matches ( can you believe that!) AECC Tennis teams - results to date. Great win for our Ladies 5th team in their second match against Bowdon - and on grass ! Unfortunately for our new team (or so we thought ) their second match had to be played on an unfamiliar surface as the other club had double booked. AECC Tennis - North-East Cheshire Lawn Tennis League A Good Start to the Season with Wins in the first match for the Ladies 1st and 4th Teams and a draw for the 2nds. The Mens 1st were winning 7/2 but failed to complete , Mens 2nds and Mens 5ths both won the first match .The New Ladies 5ths went out and performed well in their first team match and should be pleased with their result of 4/8 Well done !      See full story...

AECC Tennis League Awards

AECC Tennis collected 4 awards at the NECTL AGM last night. Tony Francis, Tim Jevons and Carol Jevons represented AECC at the league AGM. AECC were called up to collect awards as Division Winners for the Men's 4th and 5th Team, the Ladies 4th team and finally for the Acton Plate runner-up prize. AECC Tennis Acton Plate

The final of the Acton Plate was played on Sunday 11th September at Woodside Tennis Club . It was a very close match played in glorious sunshine. The format was a ladies and mens singles , ladies and mens doubles and 1 mixed. Each was best of 3 sets.Unfortunately Woodside won by 3 matches to 2 Many Thanks to everyone who played in any of the matches throughout the summer.      See full story...

AECC Tennis Acton Plate finalists !

AECC Tennis are finalists in the Acton Plate ! Good News We have progressed to the final of the Acton Plate. For those of you who don't know about this competition .This is a inter club competition run by the North East Cheshire Tennis League. Each club enters the Acton Cup . The Plate is a subsidiary competition run in parallel for the clubs that do not make it through the 1st round of the cup. The Plate gives the opportunity to play more interclub competitive tennis. AECC have beaten Handforth Hall , Knutsford and Cheadle ( last season's winner's ) on the way to the final. As yet we don't know our opposition . The venue of the final is decided by the NECTL committee and is on the 11th September. Well done to all who have taken part so far and good luck to all who play in the final.      See full story...

AECC Tennis NECTL Rose Bowl Tournament

AECC Tennis was represented by Amelia Potter and Ashley Gaynon in this years Rose Bowl Tournament at West Heaton. The event took place on a sunny July afternoon. They managed to finish 3rd in their group after the group round matches and then went on to play Woodside who finished 3rd in their group. They beat them 6-3 and were awarded with 2 bottles of wine as per the photo. There was a high standard of tennis, ranging from club level players to the odd tennis coach in the mix. It was a long day but both players enjoyed taking part !.      See full story...

2016..... what a season With the final results in, we now know what a great season the AECC men's tennis teams have had. 1st Team: Promoted to Premier League 2nd Team: Had a great season to stay in 2nd Division 3rd Team: Promoted to Division 6 4th Team: Promoted to Division 7 as Champions of Division 8 5th Team: Promoted to Division 9 as Champions of Division 10 Well done and thanks to the Captains and team and squad members for a great job this year.
